Large Rhodochrosite w/ an unknown (rare 2015 find)

A sculptural, impressive and RARE large rhodochrosite combination from a limited 2015 find at the N'Chwaning III Mine. Rhodochrosite is RARE from the newest N'Chwaning mine, which became fully operational in 2006. The striking hefty shipshape massive manganite ore matrix wedge is capped by a large 11.5 cm undulating crust of pastel-pink rhodo rhombs and capped by sparkly balls of tiny rhodo rhombs. This is a rare, rich, excellent and typical habit of rhodochrosite from the N'Chwaning III Mine. A striking 4.5 cm radiating spray of an unknown white feather-like bladed mineral is encased within the rhodo on the back of the piece. Very seldom on the market. RARE, large and artistic combination material with a very interesting unknown mineral species. One of the finest large specimens we recently obtained in a small lot.
