Item Description
Spherical aggregates of tiny pretty pastel-pink, lustrous, flattened rhodochrosite rhombs are dramatically festooned on the sculptural large undulating 3-dimensional matrix along with scattered small quartz points. The underlying rich and hefty sulfide ore matrix is composed of lustrous jet-black sphalerite intermixed with bright brassy pyrite. Excellent rich and colorful rhodochrosite combination material from the Manuelta Mine. See the 1997 Mineralogical Record Mines and Minerals of Peru issue, Vol. 28, No. 4.
