A RARE, impressive and colorful large two-sided plate from this obscure Peru mine from the late 1990s. Mineral specimens of ANY species are rare from here. Juicy, translucent, rich rose-pink, rhodochrosite rhombs that have pseudomorphed large, tabular barite blades and totally cover the mounded matrix on this most sculptural piece. The striking, well-placed pair of pseudos, to 3.8 cm, really sets this piece off. The bit of periphery wear has minimal impact on the quality and importance of this exceptional large pseudomorph rarity.
