Item Description

Mineral specimens of ANY species are rare from this obscure Peru mine. This impressive large and colorful mounded plate is covered with lustrous, translucent, pretty pastel-pink, rhodochrosite rhombs that have pseudomorphed jackstraw, tabular, barite blades. Very nearly pristine, with only one broken crystal, which has very minimal impact on the quality and importance of this large pseudomorph rarity. There is also an unknown white fluorescent peppered on the piece. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection (he had a huge Peru suite and edited the large book on Minerals of Peru. A must for the locality or species collector. Valued $600-750.
