Item Description

A fantastically geometric and important large combination from this famous Madan polymetallic mine. A fabulous V-twinned looking sharp pair of intergrown beautiful, glassy, translucent, pretty pastel-pink manganoan calcite rhombs with stepped-growth faces have dramatic accessories. One end hosts a striking spray of quartz points. The interior of the 'V', other end and the back side of one of the rhombs hosts an unusual stepped-growth quartz crust, that mimics the calcite rhomb faces. NEON orange-pink fluorescence! This is one of the most surreal large manganoan calcite combinations we have seen from ANY locality and most such pieces are usually in the Gallery. An exceptional pre-Denver spiker from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. Valued at $2500. The piece reminds me of an angular version of the famous Rolling Stones "Hot Lips" design.
