Quartz crystal plates of this size and exceptional quality are RARE from this extinct open pit iron mining complex. A stunning jackstraw cluster of nearly all water-clear quartz points is dramatically accented by the intergrown cluster of etched calcite rhombs. Crystals reach about 11.0 cm this very aesthetic piece. Complete all-around and in great shape. Two broken crystals are completely healed and the trivial bit of bruising and few broken crystals are barely noticeable. This very fine piece compare well with Arkansas quartz and is an outstanding large display specimen for the locality. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. A must for the species or locality collector.
