Dramatically different terminations on this stunning intergrown pair of large equant hexagonal quartz crystals from Brazil. A striking sharp offset broad chisel termination is a stark contrast to the offset sharp pyramidal termination. The impressive large glassy crystals have mostly water-clear terminations above translucent bodies. Termination faces on both crystals are glass-clear while the prism faces have satin lustre. Unusual etching and stepped-growth to the prism faces plus the included green chlorite in both crystals adds even more character. The Corinto area is well-known for excellent quartz specimens from the sandstones diggings here. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only trivial scattered wilbers.
