Large Quartz "icicle"

A dramatically long, tapered gem quartz "icicle" nicely accented with smaller "icicles" at the base from Diamantina. In person, it is actually more transparent than the photo indicates. The crystal faces are very lightly frosted and have an interesting rippled, stepped-growth. The narrow sharp termination is steeply offset. This impressive specimen is very nearly pristine. A small edge termination bruise (out-of-sight in most views) and a contact next to the large secondary quartz, where another crystal once lay, but with no damage, per se are noted, but certainly have negligible impact to the overall very high quality of this large gem quartz.
