Item Description
The Goscheneralp is famous for outstanding quartz specimens and this is a superb and exotic large combination. Two quartz crystal types dominate this sculptural two-sided piece. A stunning 9.7 cm twisted gwindel is dramatically complemented by the impressive, large 9.8 cm partially doubly terminated crystal. These crystals are beautifully set on the smaller quartz crystal matrix. The major crystals are water-clear, very glassy and are preferentially included with chlorite, giving the piece a very interesting visual green hue. Complete all-around. The two major crystals and the larger secondary crystals are all pristine. The noted basal periphery wear, confined mostly to the back side has little impact to the overall exceptional quality of this outstanding large twisted gwindel combination. Fairly valued at $4000-5000 and well worth it. A true Swiss classic. MUCH better in person. The chlorite subdued the true lustre and gemminess of the quartz.
