Item Description
A superb and RARE large combination from this less well-known complex of Ag-polymetallic mines in Bolivia. The impressive large and sculptural 360-degree rib is festooned with splendent, brassy, Pyrite octahedron, to 1.0 cm. One side hosts scattered patches of black tetrahedral Freibergite crystals, a complex Ag-Cu-Sb-sulfosalt, to 1.0 cm. There is only one Freibergite crystal on the other side. Both sides host patches of tiny, bright variably iridescent Stannite crystals, a Cu-Fe-Sn-sulfosalt. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection and acquired from Bolivia specialist and dealer, Alfredo Petrov, at the 2001 Tucson Show. A RARE and impressive large combination from the locale. Mass is 1781 grams or 3.9 pounds.
