large pseudocubic Fluorapophyllite (Nowakowski Coll.)

Item Description

A very impressive, large fluorapophyllite crystal from Jalgaon. The glassy, translucent crystal is bi-colored. The striking, fortification-like, stepped-growth face is colorless. An adjacent prism face has a light mint-green tint and the next face is richly included with rust-brown iron oxide! The fourth prism face is the contacted and has green celadonite. The termination face is a combination of all three colors. Unusual and very showy large apophyllite, with just a bit of edge wear. It has multiple display possibilities.
