Item Description

An outstanding, sculptural pristine large spcimen of glassy, sparkly mint-green Prehnite crystals pseudomorphing clusters of elongated Laumontite crystals from this famed extinct quarry near Bombay. Three embedded, glassy, translucent, blocky tetragonal Apophyllite crystals, to 3.0 cm, are super and typical accessories. These particular pseudomorphs have a special appeal all-their-own and this is a terrific large combination highlighted by the well-placed large apophyllite crystal. The quarry closed due to population growth. This is one of the larger specimens of good quality from the find. Ex Dick Hauck Collection and valued at $2000. Old material from 1980s!
