Large polished Agate nodule (old)

Item Description

Impressive, OLD-TIME, sculptural large agate from Brazil. The striking densely banded interior of the sawed and polished nodule resembles a fish with the sharp nose, broad tail and prominent dorsal fin. The dense multi-colored banding within the "fish" interior is noteworthy. Colors include hues of greens, blues, white and brown. The cream colored outer rind is a nice accent. From an East Coast collection and comes with a century-old faded and water-staind label. 676 grams mass. This excellent old-timer could furnish at least 10 more 4-mm slabs of slightly diminished size. Old-time Brazilian agates of this quality are hard to come by.
