Sharp, lustrous, translucent, well-striated, multi-hued mahogany-brown smithsonite rhombs, to 2.0 cm, are densely intergrown on the impressive, rich and sculptural large mounded specimen of solid smithsonite from famed Tsumeb. This very fine 360-degree specimen is complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only one small area of bruising and a bit of periphery wear on one side, on the whole huge piece. It is a monster, and this color and habit is quite uncommon! Ex Ted Bartels Collection. Valued at $2000. Classic and excellent large Tsumeb smithsonite of this varietal.
