Item Description
Les Farges is one of the world's great pyromorphite localities and is noted for a wide variety of crystal habits. This impressive large two-sided rib hosts at least four different crystal habits. The upper right has striking, sparkly elongated nubby spindles with secondary overgrowths, that rest on an earlier generation of tiny green crystals. This earlier generation goes across the top of the piece with color variations and different forms. A dense field of juicy, hexagonal, olive-green barrels is on the lower left. The back has scattered clusters of sparkly dark olive-green elongated prisms. All-in-all a very fine and showy large piece with multiple crystal habits. Valued at $1500-1750.
