Large old Copper (Nowakowski Coll.)

A dramatically sculptural large flattened old-time crystallized copper specimen from Copper Country. This aesthetic arborescent floater with a nice patina has overall spinel-twinned form and is composed of stacked spinel-twinned and elongated tetrahexahedral crystals. The top of this striking piece looks like a dragon's head with a large snout and droopy ears! Very fine old-time material, proabably dating to prior to World War I, but no proof. Choice material from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. Valued at $1500-2000 for size and quality.
