An outstanding and uncommon large okenite and gyrolite combination from the famous Malad Quarry in the Mumbai area. Intergrown and isolated puffballs of beautiful snow-white okenite needles, to 4.5 cm, aesthetically line the floor of the sculptural very deep vug (with a hole in the back!) with starkly contrasting sparkly, nubby light straw-yellow gyrolite on this superlative large specimen from this extinct quarry. The soaring population of Mumbai closed the quarries in the area. Such well-developed and protected okenite vugs are seldom available.
