Item Description

Moon or Luna agate (trade name) polished slabs of this impressive large size and sculptural form are uncommon and desirable. These agates were so named by miners for the resemblance of the "eyes" to craters on the moon. The pretty purple amethyst banding around the striking clusters of "eyes", with shades of yellow, brown, light blue, lavender and white is beautifully colorful and artistic. Fine and large natural art from Mexico. These were recovered in the 1970s. 892 grams or nearly 2 pounds
