Large Microcline w/ Lepidolite, Quartz & Tourmaline (Trimingham Coll.)

Item Description

An impressive, large, very fine, complete-all-around microcline crystal from the famous Himalaya Mine. Specimens of this geometric quality and size are rarely available. The crystal has a sharp termination and is moderately lustrous. The nifty cluster at the base includes a 3.8 cm, doubly terminated quartz crystal, lavender lepidolite and an 8 mm bi-colored, green tourmaline. The preferential etching on the sides really adds pizzazz. The termination is complete all-around and pristine. Contacting on the lower back is mostly out-of-sight. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection. An exceptional large microcline for the locale. A must for the San Diego County pegmatite or species collector.
