Large matrix Azurite ex Gary Weaver Collection

A large and rare matrix azurite specimen from the well-known 1980s finds at La Sal. An impressive 6.0 cm rosette of intergrown spherical clusters of lustrous mostly navy-blue with some royal-blueg azurite crystals is jauntily perched atop the contrasting gossan matrix with pods of malachite. The rosette is complelete all-around and in great shape. Part of a bruised edge is out-of-sight in the preferred display views. Matrix specimens of this size and quality are quite RARE from here. La Sal azurites compare favorably with the specimens from the notable Arizona localities, such as Bisbee and Morenci. ex gary Weaver collection, valued $2000-2500
