Item Description
Striking multi-hued bubbly malachite botryoids, to 2.0 cm, dramatically line a sculptural vug on this impressive large combination specimen from a less well-known extinct copper-cobalt mine, that operated from 1913 to 1949. The rare for the locale clusters of small powder-blue chrysocolla botryoids are a stark and colorful contrast to the green malachite. It does not matter to value perhaps, but mineral specimens from this locality are RARE compared to those from other nearby famous Katanga Copper Crescent mines. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection, a well-known fossil and mineral expert and Curator of the San Bernardino County Museum. Exceptional large and rare combination material from the locale, that displays well without aid.
