Item Description
These two imposing large malachite stalactites resemble the famous two-finger "Piece Sign" of the 1960s and 1970s. The rich green velvet malachite has sparkly satin luster and the layering and bulging on the fingers adds depth to the piece. The scattered scuffing and attachment on the lower right are minimal detractions to this sculptural, hand-like specimen. The attachment on the back highlights the dense variably-colored banding of the malachite. This showy piece is from one of the many copper-cobalt mines of DR Congo. 1126 grams or 2.5 pounds mass. From an old collection in China.
