Dramatic large architectural cluster of variable length intergrown malachite stalactites from one of the many copper-cobalt mines of DR Congo. The imposing dark green stalactites have sparkly satin luster. The striking, partially healed broken stalactite and the contacts against the vug walls on both ends of all of the stalactites really enhance the piece. The ends reveal the radial growth and hollow tubes where the precipitating copper-rich fluids flowed, adding interest and character. Comes with a Chinese presentation box with dragons on it as a bonus. Stalactite and box mass is 1325 grams or 3.0 pounds.
