Item Description
A statuesque and impressive large rounded malachite stalactite from recent finds at the famous copper mines of Kolwezi. The aesthetically curved, knobby rich green malachite has stunning scintillating lustre. This beautiful piece has amazing scuptural quality, which is not diminished by the very light rubbing on a few areas (barely noticeable). The broken base reveals the striking radial growth of the stalactite and the three tubes, where the copper-rich precipitating fluids flowed. For what it is, and the 360-degree form, its as close to perfect as you can get without being ultra-nitpicky. Valued at $1000-1250 for quality and perfection. Not many this good have been available recently.
