Item Description

Striking club-like, knobby, layered tapered form on this impressive large malachite stalactite from one of the famous copper mines of the DR Congo. Most of the knobs on the layered rich green malachite are sparkly microcrystalline malachite. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, except for the hollow side car stalactite at the base. The 8.0 cm sidecar stalactite at the base on one side and the gray coating, with no damage, add character to this most excellent large and sculptural stalactite. Ex Dr. Vasco Trancoso Collection.
