Large Malachite (2 generations) w/ Goethite

Beautifu, colorful densely banded, hefty carving grade malachite hosts a surreal large sculptural vug from this now well-known Cu-Au mine. The large first generation banded botryoids have a fantastic iridescent coating of purple to brown goethite. Scintillating second generation botryoids dramatically accent the column in the center and base of the vug. Scattered beautiful, tiny gemmy emerald-green third-generation malachite crystals on the goethite are a super accessory. This mine produced world-class azurite specimens until its closing in 2015. An exceptional large and rare multi-generational malachite with goethite from the locale. The piece looks great from either direction. 1763 grams or 3.9 pounds mass. Valued at $2000-2500.
