Item Description
A large and very sharp modified octahedron of magnetite well-exposed and attached to the edge of mounded of smaller magnetites and white calcite. The large 3.0 cm magnetite has a stunning mirror-like luster and a well-defined habit. I bought this piece from the Fersman Museum, when they first started coming to the US shows in the early 1990s. This is another piece I have just unearthed from old stock. Very seldom on the market from this noted locale in this size and quality. Valued at $400-500
