Item Description
Londonite is the ultra rare cesium-dominant analogue of rhodizite. A large, gemmy and lustrous, 2.0 x 2.0 x 1.5 cm, sharp londonite crystal with pleasing pastel yellow-green color is aesthetically set on a quartz-rich pegmatite vein that includes a bit of cranberry-red liddicoatite. The large londonite crystal is PRISTINE, which is uncommon in itself. The specimen was formerly in the collection of Dr. David London of Oklahoma University, for which the species is named. It comes with his personal collection label and a scrawled autograph. I got this from him back in the mid to late 1990s and found it again recently. It is Valued $1200-1500 but maybe should be more, today, for its size and rarity as the mines stopped producing this material. Also, it is one that has been analysed (by THE GUY) so you know it is not just a yellowish rhodizite
