Item Description

Dramatically sculptural large two-sided kyanite from recent finds at this famous locale. Rich cornflower-blue, highly lustrous, glassy kyanite blades are strikingly accented by the two large angled wing-like clusters. The blades are embedded in quartz. The blades reach a large 10.5 cm on this stunning piece. Complete all-around and in great shape. Uncommonly fine material of a common species that often just does not come out in specimen grade quality. The artistic large piece is certainly one of the finest Barra do Salinas kyanites we have offered at auction.
