Item Description

Huge, RARE lustrous kyanite from an obscure locality in Kenya. The beautiful teal-blue sections are strikingly gemmy/translucent and are very distinctive. It’s hard to tell if this is a terminated crystal, even with a loupe. Formerly in the Marcelle Weber Collection, a well-known Connecticut collector, field collector, mineral microphotographer, lecturer and author. She passed away in 2003.
