An impressive sculptural large old-time tourmaline from the famous Santa Rosa Mine. This dramatically CURVED piece has stacked crystals for the main crystal and is fantastically accented with the attached side car crystals. The highly lustrous, glassy and well-striated crystals are two-toned indicolites - striking multiple teal-green terminations rest atop gemmy to neary opaque beautiful teal-blue to very dark purple bodies. The large crystal is doubly terminated! The attached clusters of prismatic lepidolites and a few quartz points are stark contrasts and fine accents to this very fine and unusual style of tourmaline from the classic 1960s-70s finds at this renowned pegmatite.
