Item Description
Mineral specimens are RARE from this obscure fluorspar mine compared to other famous and prolific mines in Hardin County. This outstanding, sculptural and rich large piece is composed solidly of a dense jackstraw mass of glassy, translucent, tabular milky baryte spearpoints, to about 2.5 cm. Every turn presents a distinctively different perspective to the very fine and rich large rarity from the Ross Lillie Collection # 0200. Ross's typed note on the back of his label states: "Mined ca. early 1970s. Fine specimen from a prolific locale that was rarely documented." Valued at $1250-1500 for rarity, quality and size.
