Item Description
Zincite is an ore of value from the old Franklin Furnace mine, and this is a large slab of essentially zincite ore emplaced in typical Franklin matrix of fluorescent materials. Zincite shows as massive sections with a few crystal faces as well. Under fluorescent light the calcite glows a bright orange-red in contrast to the nonfluorescing zincite, and to veinlets of yellow green willemite. Visually dramatic! 2080 grams (just over 2 kilos!)
