Large Hemimorphite (old finds)

Gorgeous sky-blue, waxy lustre translucent bubbly hemimorphite botryoids fully line the striking, large, 3-dimensional crust on this beautiful and sculptural specimen from Wenshan. The hemimorphite "wall" adds pizzazz. This is "old-time" material from the early 1990s, when Chinese material was first reaching Western markets. These exceptional pieces resembles classic and expensive old-time botryoidal hemimorphite from Mexico or from Sardinia but at much lower prices as they are modern(ish). Yes, a bit of bruising is noted, but this remains a very fine, richly colored, large example of the species and find, probalby from a decade ago. The piece has several fine display views. Valued at $1000-1500.
