Stepped-growth clusters of sharp, hematite-tinted calcite rhombs form an imposing large specimen from Tsumeb. Stepped-growth calcites are a Tsumeb classic and this is one of the best and most aesthetic large pieces of this varietal we have seen. The jackstraw pattern of the clusters adds dramatic character and the preferential white drusy calcite overcoat to the lustrous, translucent, light rust-brown rhombs adds pazzazz and color.
