Large Gypsum (uncommon locale)

Item Description

An impressive, large, old-time, terminated gypsum crystal cleavage from a National Park, known as "Utah ice". The sharply terminated crystal is water-clear and the frosted, striated faces have a waxy luster. Contacting, with minimal damage and a bit of bruising are noted, but this remains a rare, fine, large example of the species and locale. Older material from a museum collection. 6 pounds or 2.7 kilos.
