Item Description
Goethite is rare from the famous old Mexican mines at both Santa Eulalia or in good large specimens. Impressive mounded clusters of lustrous black to rust-brown goethite botryoids strikingly cover the sculptural, large 3-dimensional matrix. Sections of glassy, colorless Calcite crystals on one edge and the back are an appealing, contrasting accessory. Ex Chet Lemanski Collection No. 9301CL and acquired in 1998. High quality, rich and rare combination material from a noted locale. Please note that when we posted this, we went by his label, identification as Naica; but we have been corrected and told that this is actually from Santa Eulalia, also still in Chihuahua
