Item Description
A striking 5.8 cm hemisphere of lustrous brownish-black acicular goethite needles is aesthetically set on the impressive large sculptural plate covered with contrasting very glassy and lustrous, transparent to translucent quartz points. Many of the quartz crystals are included with goethite needles, adding character. The Amerzgane Cercle includes the well-known Bou Azzer Mine. This is a large and isolated ball of crystals for the locale, and similar pieces have been priced at shows, a few years ago, in the $2000-plus range. Ex Kurt Hefendehl Collection. The area is well-known for such combinations and this is an outstanding large example.
