Item Description

The yellow-green variety of spodumene, called triphane, is much less common from these rich gem crystal localities than pink spodumene or kunzite. This striking, large, bar-like crystal is partially water-clear and looks like GLASS! It is not evident in the photos how good the color is and how glassy and lustrous the crystal is. The crystal has a supremely waxy feel and both end prism faces are striated. The impressive, uneven, chisel-shaped termination faces are lightly frosted and etched. Essentially pristine. Comes with a custom-made lucite base valued at $145 (for free). At 765 grams or 1.7 pounds mass, this is an impressive one! Lots of gem rough here! Valued $3000-3500. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PERSON!!!
