Item Description
Gorgeous lavender color on this remarkably large and rare apatite crystal form Pech. The very glassy, transparent to translucent, stout crystal has striking, exotic tabular hexagonal form. The striking highly modified pinacoidal termination is dramatically accented with a green mossy inclusion, that fluoresces moderate yellow. An outstanding large 360-degree apatite, that is in great shape. An out-of-sight side is contacted, where another crystal once lay, but with no damage, per se. There is a clean repair in the middle of the crystal, which is certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species (invisible, but was disclosed by my source). Technically doubly terminated, as the bottom " base" is broken in situ in the past but later was covered/rehealed with a myriad of sparkly crystal faces. Apatite is uncommon from Pech and this is an impressive large crystal with great color and form.
