Item Description
Dramatic, large amber calcite crystals with striking multiple, classic, gemmy, golden-amber terminations form a spectacular large specimen from the famous Elmwood Mine. Twinning planes are noted on both sides of the impressive golden crystal cluster. A major surprise is the attached second generation doubly terminated calcite with light straw-yellow color on the back. Interestingly, this crystal cluster is not twinned. Only two tips are gently bruised on the end with larger gem points (largest tip is pristine). A few tips are gently bruised and a couple are lightly cleaved on the other end. Gently bruised and a couple of cleaves are noted on the lighter crystal and this is where the attachment point is. The golden side is really impressive in gemminess, color and form, not withstanding the damage. Classic older material from the Consie Prince Collection. 6.2 pounds or 2.8 kilos mass.
