Item Description
Large Elmwood calcites, that are nearly entirely the highly desirable, gemmy, golden-amber color are uncommon and this is an impressive example. Glorious gemmy golden-amber to the base, this piece displays beautifully without aid. The end shot highlights the exceptional golden-amber primary display face. Modest bruising to the termination and basal periphery wear are noted, but have only minimal impact to the startling visual aspect of this large dominating crystal. Sphalerite fragments are attached on the back and the basal attachment is barite and sphalerite. Excellent older material from the Consie Prince Collection. 1941 grams or 4.3 pounds mass.
