An impressive, large, gem topaz crystal from Brazil. The water-clear crystal is essentially coloress, but the iron oxides give the crystal a pretty champagne tint. The crystal is doubly terminated and has textbook crystal form. Some faces are in great shape and you can easily see through the crystal. Other faces are vertically striated/frosted, contacted with minimal bruising or are contacted/dinged. Irregardless, this is a most dramatic gem Brazilian topaz and is an excellent large example of the species and locale. The piece obviously has cutting value, too. Probably older material. 491 grams or 1.1 pounds.
