Wow! A dramatic and impressive large gem topaz crystal from the Matioli Collection. The stunningly limpid crystal has beautiful champagne color and striking, fine tapered-edge form. This super crystal has only a couple of internal fractures, which is rare. The complex pinacoidal termination faces are frosted and etched on this supremely glassy and lustrous crystal. The crystal is also partially doubly terminated. Complete all-around and in excellent shape. Dings are noted on a termination edge and a prism edge, along with a trivial amount of prism edge chatter. There is also periphery wear on one side of the base. These certainly have only minimal impact to the overall very fine quality of this very fine, large gem crystal. Fairly valued at $2000-2500 and worth it. 645 grams or 1.4 pounds mass!
