Item Description
Water-clear, gem clarity highlights this impressive and sculptural large tabular quartz specimen from the famous magnesite and talc deposits at Brumado. The stepped-growth prism faces, two steep termination faces with the chisel termination plus the cluster of the smaller crystals at the base accentuate this supremely glass-like and lustrous crystal. Most likely from the 1980s. Ex Luiz Menezes Collection to Alvaro Lucio's collection, both among the top ever respected Brazil dealers and collectors. An outstanding large quartz from the Pomba pit at Brumado.
