Large gem DT Indicolite Tourmaline

An impressive large sculptural doubly terminated gem indicolite tourmaline from circa 2010 finds at the renowned Pederneira Mine. This classic teal-blue beauty is water-clear gem throughout, with very little internal layering. The trigonal crystal is super glassy, lustrous and striated. The striking terminated 2.8 cm sidecar at the base, parallel-growth of the large crystal at the base with two terminations plus the rich two-tone blue matte lustre pinacoidal terminations to both prisms are super complements to this classic large indicolite. Complete all-around and pristine. Five clean repairs are certainly acceptable in the context of pegmatite species, especially large crystals, such as this. A classic large doubly terminated indicolite from the locale with excellent gemminess, color and aesthetic form. Mass is 23 grams. Valued at $3500. MUCH better in person!!
