Item Description
This very fine, well-formed gem diaspore crystal comes from the historic mines of Turkey and are considered to be the finest examples of the species. This is an impressive large (44 grams mass), greenish-yellow, limpid, gem crystal with very high waxy luster, striated faces and a half chisel termination. Diapore is usually a boring rock-former. Complete all-around and in great shape. Most of the termination is contacted with just a bit of bruising along the right edge. Diaspore is the hot new gem material on the West Coast with the trade name Czarite. Excellent cutting rough. Valued at $1500-2000 for quality and size and some cutting value.
