large Galena, Dolomite & Marcasite (Gary Hansen)

Item Description

Splendent battleship-gray galena cubes are aesthetically scattered on the dramatically sculptural large matrix of densely intergrown lustrous dolomite rhombs from the famous Sweetwater Mine. There are four larger cubes and four smaller cubes on the piece. The dominating large compound cube with fortification features is 2.7 x 2.6 x 1.1 cm. Tiny sparkly bronzy marcasite crystals are rich peppered on both the dolomite and galena. Amazingly pristine and nearly a floater, with only a couple of small attachments on the bottom. Dolomite is an uncommon accessory and this is a RARE super rich and architectural large dolomite, galena and marcasite combination. Choice material from the Gary Hansen dealer stock dating to the 1970s and 80s. A rare, perhaps unique large combination.
