Item Description
An impressive, large and colorful 360-degree peridot specimen from this well-known Arizona locale. Pretty grass-green, gemmy to translucent forsterite variety peridot crystals fill striking large vugs, to 11.8 cm, in the contrasting sculptural basalt matrix. The large vug with the large rich green, very glassy, gemmy peridot crystals is noteworthy. A very expressive, rich and artistic large 360-peridot from the locale. These are the source of gem rough the Indians mine and sell to tourists and jewelers, but this big matrix specimen is a very unusual and interesting educational piece, not yet cobbed up. Value?
