Item Description

Large matrix specimen of a classic combination of highly contrasting cream-colored Baryte with purple Fluorite from Berbes. The transparent to translucent Fluorites, with cubes up to 1.4 cm on edge, have a lustrous purple inner core with a thin dark purple band and a blue exterior edge that creates a fantastic phantom zoning. The sharp thin bladed crystal groupings of cream to white Baryte provide a great accent for the Fluorites. There is some edge wear and a few broken Baryte crystals on the edge. The display face is in great condition. A fine classic example from this world famous locale, perhaps from the 1980s. Ex. Kurt Hefendehl. Valued $2500-3000.
